This project is a multi-year collaboration and dialogue between Luke Bretherton and the social anthropologist, Valentina Napolitano (University of Toronto), and religious studies and Black studies scholar, Vincent Lloyd (University of Villanova). The project examines the roots and contemporary articulation of political theology as an emerging, interdisciplinary framework for analysing the modern condition. Through a serious of colloquia and ongoing conversation the project has now issued in a book: What is Political Theology? Luke Bretherton, Vincent Lloyd, Valentina Napolitano (Columbia University Press, forthcoming).
