John Berkman
McDonald Centre Visiting Fellow
John Berkman is Professor of Moral Theology at Regis-St. Michaels Faculty of Theology, University of Toronto, Professor Ordinarius in the Ecclesiastical Faculty of Regis College, and Associate Fellow in Moral Theology, Campion Hall, Oxford. Before taking up his position in Toronto, he taught at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, CA. He has been a visiting professor/scholar at Duke University, North Carolina, USA; Christ Church College, Oxford; Blackfriars Hall, Oxford; and Campion Hall Oxford.
Research Interests
John’s research interests are in various topics in fundamental moral theology, healthcare ethics, questions of war and peace, animal ethics, and questions at the intersection of moral theology and moral philosophy.
